Entertaiment is a broad term that covers a huge range of activities, from the individual who chooses their own private entertainment (from an increasingly diverse array of pre-recorded products) to the banquet or party which can be adapted to any number and size of guests; through to performances intended for thousands. It is often associated with amusement, although many entertainments may have a serious purpose, such as ceremony, religious festival or satire.
